Telemetry and diagnosis.

Two layers of the same problem. Most organizations need both. Many have not operationalized the second. Telemetry — prompt-tracking platforms — measures visibility at scale: how often you appear, where, trending which way. If the question is the score, buying it is the right call. Diagnosis asks what telemetry structurally cannot: is what the machines say supported, what evidence shaped it, does it matter, and who owns fixing it.

Telemetry — the scoreDiagnosis — the why
The promptsA library you supply, plus market-aggregate prompt volumes.Derived from your own ecosystem — questions your customers already ask, each traceable to public evidence.
The measureAppearance rate, share of voice, sentiment, citation counts. Each machine assertion judged against the evidence record: supported by your statements, the ecosystem’s, or neither — the class no score reports.
A finding“You appear in 6 of 10 runs; these domains are cited most.”“In this run, machine claims aligned more often with ecosystem evidence than with company statements — and nearly half of company-owned citations were support content, not marketing.”
ValidationSampling methodology at platform scale.Adversarial — every finding survives a challenge against cited evidence before it is reported.
The outputA dashboard the team monitors.A decision instrument: the gap map, the ownership map, and the intervention sequence with a retest condition.
The actionWatch the trend; brief the team.Change the evidence: fix the condition, resolve issues in public, publish truth where the engines demonstrably read — then re-probe.
The pattern is already visible inside operating companies: teams buy telemetry for scale, then reconstruct the why-layer by hand — finding the gaps between what the company says and what the ecosystem says, and building against them. Diagnosis systematizes exactly the half that can’t be bought off the shelf.

On build versus buy: calling the models is the cheap part. The real build is the evidence system underneath — collectors that survive a closing web, a panel with provenance, adjudication that distinguishes absence from falsity, and the discipline to say only what the receipts support. Buy telemetry. Own the evidence model, judgment, responsibility, and retest.

See it end to end: one finding from a live diagnostic — a real churn question, a correct machine answer, and the wrong authority cited for the company’s own pricing. The Answer Is Right. The Authority Is Displaced. →
